A Few Pics

Mom and I went to Charleston this past weekend to watch Jessie compete with Byrnes' winterguard. All 3 of Byrnes' winterguard teams scored 1st place in their divisions! We rocked the house! Here are a few pics from this weekend that I've been playing around with:

A Late Christmas Surprise

My Christmas Cactus didn't bloom at Christmas.
It's blooming now.
There were tons of buds,
and now that they've grown and opened up,
it's the best late Christmas surprise ever.

Problems with Toy Story

We love Toy Story in this house. Gavin has all 3 main characters - Buzz, Woody, and Jessie. Lately, we have been watching all the Toy Story movies over and over and over and over. I've never truly focused on all the words in the movies until I noticed my child repeating some of them. Right now, actually, we are watching Toy Story 1 for the 100th time. Now I have finally realized exactly where my child gets his word choices: Woody is screaming at Buzz after being left at the gas station on the way to Pizza Planet - "Shut up, you idiot!" One night last week, Dad was rough housing with Gavin and picked him up. Gavin yelled at him, "Put me down, you idiot!" You can just imagine my horror. My-jaw-dropped! Big sigh. Now then...how to handle this?

Jessica & Aubrey

I grew up with the Roberston family across the street from my parents' house. I used to help watch Jessica, and she was my junior bridesmaid in my wedding. She has grown into a beautiful young lady, and now a beautiful mother.

Here are a few pictures I took yesterday for Aubrey-Anna's 1 month old pictures.
Aubrey-Anna Hope Robertson
Aubrey-Anna was an unexpected blessing.
I love how God takes a tough situation and turns it into something better.
Our God is good like that.

God's Creation

I was playing around with my camera and with Picknik. These are 2 of my favorite pictures I took yesterday.

Snow Much Fun!

Jason and I headed to mom and dad's house to stay during the snow because we thought for sure that our power would go out - but it didn't. But we still had a great time playing in the snow with all of us together.

My engineer husband had to build another snowman...
well, actually a snow-woman.
He worked on her for hours! He had to give her the appropriate anatomy. And of course, he had to cop a feel.
