Crazy Weather

It was nice and warm, and Gavin and I were about to go outside and play before I started cooking dinner. Then out of nowhere...

...the hail came down, and Gavin said, "It's snowing!" And now it's cold outside.

Gavin's New Ride

Gavin has a new red corvette. We've had this tricycle in the closet since his first birthday. Jason found it clearanced out at WalMart at the end of the summer and we've waited till we thought he was big enough to ride it before putting it together. It's not a Radio Flyer, but it sure does shine. And Gavin sure does love it.

Just a Thought...

Stolen from the status of a Facebook friend: "Today I beat my previous record for the number of consecutive days spent alive. I'm going for a new personal best tomorrow."

Catepillars

Eastern Tent Catepillars are out and about at Nana & Pops' house. The kids found handfuls of them crawling across the driveway. tonight. Karis and Gavin tried to feed one of the them a piece of lettuce, but Gavin said it wasn't hungry.

Easter Egg'citement

We spent Saturday with Nana and Pops. We hunted for eggs, played an egg toss game, dyed our eggs, and ate a delicious dinner. Here are some pictures of our fun time together.

I'm so glad we had all our fun yesterday, because today is a horse of a different color. I'm sick with some kind of stomach virus and running a fever. I can't remember the last time I was this sick. And Jason didn't get home from work this morning until 4:00am, so needless to say, we did not make it to church this morning. So I have a new Easter dress still hanging in the closet that I didn't get to wear, and no family Easter picture. Maybe next week we can dress up again and get a picture then.

Spring Break Cruise Pics

Last week for Spring Break, 6 other teachers and I went on a cruise to the Bahamas. It was sooo nice. First we docked at Nassau. I really wasn't all that impressed with the city. I was hoping to see some authentic stuff, but it was so commercialized. There was a t-shirt and keychain store on every corner. It wasn't anything fantastic. But the beach was beautiful.

The coolest part of Nassau was watching the police directing traffic in their uniforms.
We ate like royalty on the ship. I think I gained 10 pounds! This was one of my desserts...a strawberry meringue with a cream filling.
CocoCay was great! I loved how white the sand was and how clear the water was. The weather and sunshine were perfect for a day on the island.
Now, to get my brain focussed back on work this week. Such a dreadful thought after a relaxing vacation.
