Mom bought me a bathing suit for my birthday. 
Kelli and I have discovered the best little hole-in-the-wall sandwich shop...Cupcake Creations. It's main focus, of course, is cakes and cupcakes. But they serve lunch there too. Our friend, Sandie Scott is a waitress there.

Along with the various sandwiches, they also serve different salads, wraps, and quiche. The sandwich plates come with a side item (fruit cup, potato salad, or pasta salad), peach tea, and 2 mini-cupcakes. My meal was $6-7 for all of that.Natalie, our friend Mandy, and I took our kids to Cleveland Park today. The weather was so beautiful. The kids enjoyed playing on the playground together.

Before we left, we rode the train. We were the second group to ride. When we first got there, the kids got so excited because they saw the man working on the train and cleaning it up. He came out and said that he was going to give it a test run, and then people could ride it. We let the first group go before us because there were so many people piling in to ride it. The man told everyone that we were lucky because we were riding the refurbished original train from when the park first opened. We went slow on the first lap, but the conductor put the pedal to the metal on the second lap...seriously...like, super fast. Mandy described it as a roller coaster ride. I've never in my life seen or ridden that train going so fast. The accident happened right after we left the park. Thank God we didn't stay longer.

Dad was invited to join Phi Theta Kappa because of his good grades, and being on the President's List. We drove down to Greenwood to Piedmont Tech for his induction ceremony Thursday evening.
I just can't tell you enough how proud I am of my daddy going back to school to get a degree. He's working a full-time job and has a full schedule. 
This is a lady who truly strives to do what God calls her to do. She works hard at being a Godly mother, wife, and friend. And although she isn't perfect and even has her frazzling days, she still does her best to serve Christ with her whole heart and be a disciple for Him.
In church on Sunday, the message was about how we are responsible for passing along our faith to others - being disciples for Christ. The pastor used Paul's writing in 1st Timothy and 2nd Timothy as our references. He began, though, with Matthew 28:19, "Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations...". He defined disciple as a learner, a follower, and an imitator of Jesus Christ who accepts and assists in the spreading of the good news of Jesus Christ.
Paul writes in 2 Timothy 2:2, "The things which you have heard from me in the prescence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." (NAS)
Kelly's passion for studying the Word, sharing God's love with others, and growing closer to Christ has encouraged so many other ladies. She has entrusted and passed her faith on to many people; pushing them to do the same.
Since her blog post, we have completed 4 studies, and we are working on the 5th now. We started out as a small group of about 5-6 ladies. Some have stayed along for the whole ride, and some have moved on. But the greatest thing about it is how much our group of Bible study girls has grown. Our group now has 11 ladies and continues to grow each time we start a new study.
I write this because it's a true example of how spreading Christ's love to others can uplift and bring others closer to Christ...being a disciple for Him. It amazes me how God used a simple invitation to reach out to 11 other women - not only bringing us closer to Him, but also bringing us to each other, planting seeds of friendship to those we may have never gotten close to. We serve an awesome God who constantly shows how His timing and plan always comes together.
I bet Kelly never imagined what her simple invitation would become.

I have the best girlfriends in the world. 
Tonight we ate at Wild Ace in downtown Greer for my birthday dinner. It was a super tight squeeze with everyone there, but I think everyone still had a good time.
The night was still young when we finished eating, so we went out with some friends. Greg, Rachelle, and sweet Ryan met us at Starbucks for some coffee.
We were outside playing last week, and Gavin had to take a pit stop.
This is why I love Spring.
